Empowering seniors in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to lead sustainable lifestyles.
Gray Grows Green is an 18-month Erasmus+ project designed to equip seniors in Slovakia and the Czech Republic with the knowledge and tools to adopt more sustainable practices. Through workshops, study visits, and webinars, we aim to engage 180 seniors (90 in each country) and train 20 educators to lead these initiatives.
Key Objectives
- Train 20 educators in sustainability education for seniors.
- Involve 180 seniors in practical learning about climate change, zero waste, and sustainable living.
- Promote active ageing by empowering seniors to take an active role in their communities.
- Create long-lasting educational materials accessible to educators across Europe.
Activities
- Workshops/Webinars: Engaging seniors in sustainability topics like waste reduction and energy efficiency.
- Study Visits: Offering seniors real-life examples of sustainable practices in businesses and communities.
- Educator Training: Building the capacity of educators to deliver impactful sustainability education tailored to seniors.
Partners
- Together, o.p.s. (Czech Republic): Experts in senior education.
- Slovak Eco Quality (Slovakia): Specialists in sustainability education.
By fostering intergenerational connections and encouraging active ageing, Gray Grows Green aims to create a ripple effect of sustainability practices that benefit local communities and inspire broader change.
