The Green Triangle project has reached its next destination in Búcs from February 22nd to 24th. The three-day national workshop made it clear to us how much potential lies within our youth. 24 young people contributed to the event with genuine determination and enthusiasm because they already know they are the hopes of our future; they can initiate real change in our communities, thus contributing to sustainability transition. Hungarian youth from Slovakia have come closer to each other to create a more sustainable life.
The three-day event was structured based on non-formal education methods, providing everyone with the opportunity to unfold and discuss their constructive ideas. In order to achieve this, diverse training activities enriched the program, allowing even those less familiar with the topic to learn about the importance of eco-consciousness, broaden their horizons, and receive direction to integrate these experiences into their lives. Furthermore, the workshop offered several novelties for active participants in the field, as they had the chance to explore new methods, learn from each other, engage in dialogue, participate in activities that not only enriched their knowledge on the subject but also developed their skills, and primarily shaped a more sustainable worldview and attitude among young individuals, who can now become genuine agents of change in their own environment, inspiring others on this path.
The workshop included activities such as Iceberg competencies, the 5R framework, screening of the documentary film “A holnap bajnokai” (The Champions of Tomorrow), sustainability collage creation in groups, playing the CO2 footprint eco-board game (the board game was created by SEQ as part of the “Reduce your CO2 – Help Planet” project), sustainability treasure hunt outdoors, creating their own eco-jar, learning about the fashion industry and board games on the topic (The “4F – Fast Fashion? Fast Forward!” Cooperation Partnership project inspired the session on sustainable fashion), creating videos promoting sustainability, and many other activities, all contributing to raising awareness of sustainability among young people.
The selection of appropriate training activities for the workshop was greatly aided by the EducationForClimate priorities published by the European Commission, which serve as guidelines for non-formal education focusing on sustainability. The workshop was structured around the priorities of “Green Competences: Cultivating Green Learning” and “Youth: Building a sustainable future.” This means equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for sustainable living. The priority focusing on youth underscores the importance of involving young people in green topics and various educational methods, from sustainable exchange programs to political debates. Therefore, community involvement and collective decision-making are essential in shaping the future together.
At the end of the event, we could truly consider it a success seeing the enthusiasm with which local youth returned home, eager to share their experiences and knowledge from the workshop with their own communities. It is worth noting the enthusiasm of the youth towards potentially participating in other similar workshops, as for many of them, this was their first experience with such an event.

A Green Triangle projekt elérkezett következő állomásához február 22-23-24-én Búcson. A háromnapos nemzeti workshoppal vált számunkra nyilvánvalóvá, hogy mekkora potenciál rejlik fiataljainkban. 24 fiatal valódi elszántsággal és lelkesedéssel járult hozzá az esemény megvalósításához, hiszen már ők is tudják, hogy ők jövőnk reményei, ők tudnak igazi változást elindítani közösségeinkben, így a fenntarthatósági átállásban. Szlovákiai magyar fiatalok kerültek közelebb egymáshoz és a fenntarthatóbb élet kialakításához.
A háromnapos rendezvény a nonformális edukációs módszerek alapján lett felépítve, így mindenki számára lehetőséget biztosítva a kibontakozásra és konstruktív ötleteik megvitatására. Ennek érdekében változatos tréning aktivitások színesítették a programot, így tehát a témában kevésbé jártas fiatalok is megismerkedhettek az ekotudatosság fontosságával, szélesítették látókörüket és irányt kaptak, hogy ezeket a tapasztalatokat beültessék életükbe. Továbbá a témában aktív résztvevők számára is több újdonságot tartogatott a workshop, hiszen lehetőségük volt új módszereket megismerni, egymástól tanulni, párbeszédet folytatni, olyan aktivitásokban részt venni, amik nem csak tudásukat gyarapították a témában, hanem fejlesztették készségeiket, és főként egy fenntarthatóbb világnézetet, hozzáállást alakítottak ki a fiatal egyénekben, akik immár saját környezetükben is igazi változtatókká válhatnak, másokat is elindítva ezen az úton.
A workshop felépítésében szerepet kaptak az Iceberg kompetenciák, az 5R keretrendszer, A holnap bajnokai című dokumentumfilm vetítése, csoportos fenntarthatósági kollázs készítése, CO2 lábnyom öko-társasjáték játszása, fenntarthatósági kincskeresés a szabadban, saját ökojar készítése, a divatiparral való megismerkedés és társasjáték a témában, videók készítése a fenntarthatóság jegyében és sok más aktivitás, amik mind a fiatalok fenntarthatósági tudatosságának elősegítésében játszottak szerepet.
A megfelelő tréning aktivitások kiválasztásában a workshopra hatalmas segítséget nyújtott a European Commission által publikált EducationForClimate prioritások, melyek egyfajta iránymutatóként funkcionálnak a fenntarthatósággal foglalkozó nonformális oktatás területén. A workshop felépítésében a “Zöld kompetenciák: A zöld tanulás ápolása” és az “Ifjúság: A fenntartható jövő építése” prioritások voltak segítségünkre. Ez azt jelenti, hogy az egyéneket fel kell vértezni a fenntartható életmódhoz szükséges ismeretekkel, készségekkel és attitűdökkel. A prioritás, amely az ifjúságra összpontosít, pedig kiemeli a fiatalok bevonásának fontosságát a zöld témákban és különféle oktatási módszerekben, a fenntartható csereprogramoktól a politikai vitákig. Tehát a közösség bevonása és a közös döntéshozatal elengedhetetlen a jövő közös alakításában.
Az esemény végeztével igazi sikerként könyvelhettük el, hogy a helyi fiatalok mekkora lelkesedéssel indultak haza, hogy saját környezetüket is megismertessék a workshopon elsajátított tapasztalataikkal és ismereteikkel, valamint külön figyelmet érdemel a fiatalok lelkesedése akár más, hasonló témájú workshopokon való részvétel irányába, hiszen sokuknak ez volt az első tapasztalatuk egy efféle rendezvénnyel.
